It’s finally that time of year where nail polish becomes much more than a fashion statement as it turns into a necessity to cover up the dirt under your nails. Yup, you guessed it, it’s planting time.
We finally had a break in weather and had temperatures in the 70’s! What a good time to turn over some soil.
Being as far north as we are in Southern Wisconsin, we decided it would be safe to plant some root veggies and a few hardy plants from seeds, hoping they will survive if we get a dip of cold weather. So we tilled up a section of the garden, made our rows and mounds and planted beets, peas, radishes, broccoli, and brussel sprouts. We may have jumped the gun a bit, but I think with such a mild winter, we will be alright.
